Leadership and Innovation

Beyond musical talent, our founder stands out as a pioneer and innovator in the business realm. In the 1970s, they became the first R&B Buyer for the renowned “The Wherehouse” record stores in Los Angeles, California. Later, they served as regional director for VIP Records stores across Southern California. Demonstrating entrepreneurial vision, they established California’s first Automobile Registration Service, growing it to 101 locations before selling the company after 19 years. This business catered to many distinguished figures in music and film, including Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor.

Changes in the Music Industry

The prevalence of likes and followers has not translated into music sales; people are listening without paying. Touring remains one avenue for income, but it is costly, as artists only earn after expenses are covered."
